Stands, Stalls, Crafts, Food & Drink

As last year Nicola Brown will be organising a wide range of stands on sustainable energy and, on the Sunday, of local food producers from the Enniscorthy Farmers Market and elsewhere. We shall maintain last year's high standard of food and drink for sale on site, with more food stalls, beer again from the Carlow Brewing Company, organic wine and a smoothies bar. Also on the Sunday there will be a Slow Food lunch menu, bookable and payable in advance. In addition we shall have a new craft area with practitioners at work demonstrating their skill and knowledge, whether working with willow and stone, constructing tipis and bread ovens or doing other interesting things.

Edward Byrne, for example, will be building an obelisk with stones and lime, which will be a permanent reminder of the 2008 IGG. All visitors to the festival are invited to bring a stone (flat is best) to be incorporated in the obelisk.

We are also calling for outdoor installation pieces. Successful applicants will be included in a catalogue and can sell their work with no commission taken by the festival.

Submissions should include a photo or sketch and short description. There is a submission fee of €10 per artist with a limit of 3 pieces per person. Submissions, with cheque or postal order, to Irish Green Gathering, Woodbrook, Killanne, Enniscorthy.
